For years I've been crazy passionate about food, cooking & the whole theatre surrounding great street food especially when its cooked over embers. At the Porkhouse I wanted to bring something a little different to the table. It's all about the meat, smoke and fire. Low 'n' slow barbecue done the proper way. For me it's a way of life, I literally eat drink and sleep bbq bringing you all those delicious smokehouse flavours.

A classic steel barbecue pit, Big Bertha was designed and built by Phil. A real labour of love Bertha is Huge!!!! A six month build saw an old tank transformed into the beast you see today. With a massive cooking capacity and the ability to cook a small dinosaur we believe Bertha is one of the biggest pit smokers in the uk.
